The resignation of Plano Senior High Softball's  Head Coach, Cynthia Zea, is being reported on the Star Local News web site. Taking her place will be Varsity Assistant Coach Molly Pipak.

The softball banquet was held last night. There was some good laughs, memories, and tears as we celebrated the end of the 2013 season.

Plano East duo in the WCWS

Plano East will have a pair of representatives participating when the Women's College Softball World Series begins today at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

The reps in question are Texas freshmen Holly Kern and Rachel Scott.

The Longhorns open play in the eight-team, double-elimination tournament at 6 p.m. today against Arizona State in a game that will be televised live on ESPN2. Depending on the outcome, Texas will next face Michigan or Oklahoma on either Friday (8:30 p.m.) or Saturday (1:30 p.m.).

Texas' second game will be shown on ESPN.
